In Season 1, Jack and Lily struggle to coexist and adjust to their new family dynamic when Jack moves in for the summer. Their initial arguing causes chaos, including an incident where the family’s grooming trailer careens through town, and they must work together to save their family’s livelihood and their grandmother Halmoni, who gets stuck inside the trailer.

Five days after Jack moves in, the family prepares for the frenzy at Woori World when a shipment of limited Hallasand cookies arrives. Jack is tasked as a decoy while the family members face various challenges: Halmoni battles a rival elder, Min is overwhelmed by durian smell, Lily is cornered by a three-aunt hydra, and Will is hit by gochujang sauce. Jack ultimately saves Lily and secures the last box of cookies by using himself as a decoy.

The parents, Will Wylde and Min Pak, along with grandmother Halmoni, provide guidance to Jack and Lily as they navigate their blended family life. They help the siblings learn about each other's separate lives, their blended identity, and the importance of family while managing the family’s pet grooming and boarding business.

Lily Pak is used to stability and staying close to home, while her half-brother Jack Wylde is adventurous, having lived a more transient life with his mom. Their contrasting personalities create tension and humor as they adjust to living together for the first time during the summer.
