What is the plot?
Sora Harewataru arrives at the Skyland Kingdom on the back of a giant bird for Princess Ellee's birthday celebration.
The King and Queen hold their infant daughter Ellee during the festivities in the main city high above the clouds.
Kabaton, a pig-like purple monster from the Underg Empire with buckteeth, suddenly invades the celebration and kidnaps baby Princess Ellee directly from her father's arms.
Sora notices the abduction and immediately rushes toward Kabaton, determined to rescue the princess as a self-proclaimed hero.
Kabaton releases a powerful fart attack that confuses and disorients Sora, allowing him to escape into a dimensional portal while holding Ellee.
Sora recovers from the confusion and jumps into the same portal after Kabaton to pursue him and save Ellee.
Inside the portal, Sora grabs Ellee from Kabaton, but Kabaton collides with a floating rock, causing chaos.
Sora and Ellee then fall out through another portal, plummeting high above Sorashido City on Earth.
Meanwhile on the ground in Sorashido City, Nijigaoka Mashiro runs an errand for her grandmother and picks up a dropped diary belonging to Sora.
Sora and Ellee land safely on the street in front of Mashiro, cushioned by Ellee's magic that breaks their fall.
Sora, disoriented, asks Mashiro where they are, confirming they have arrived in Sorashido City on Earth, a world different from Skyland.
Kabaton emerges from a portal behind them and spots Ellee, intent on recapturing her for her powers.
Kabaton grabs a nearby tractor and transforms it into a giant robot monster called Ranborg.
Sora hands Ellee to Mashiro and instructs her to run away with the baby while Sora stays to confront Kabaton and the Ranborg.
Sora charges at the Ranborg to buy time for Mashiro's escape, but the Ranborg brutally beats her, tossing her around repeatedly.
Sora collapses from her injuries but forces herself to stand up again, limping forward determinedly.
Kabaton catches up to Mashiro and Ellee, cornering them.
Sora's diary, which had fallen out, lands in front of Kabaton.
Kabaton picks up the diary, mocks Sora's naive dreams of becoming a hero written inside it, and tears it apart.
Devastated by the destruction of her hero journal, Sora shouts in anguish about her aspiration to be a hero.
Ellee cries and uses her power, causing a Sky Takt transformation device to appear from within Sora's torn diary pages.
Sora catches the Sky Takt, which glows with blue energy, and instinctively activates it.
Sora transforms into Cure Sky through a dramatic sequence, gaining a blue hero outfit, wings, and enhanced abilities.
As Cure Sky, Sora confidently confronts the Ranborg and Kabaton, declaring herself a real hero now.
Cure Sky fights the Ranborg step by step: she dodges its attacks with acrobatic flips, lands powerful punches that dent its armor, and uses aerial maneuvers to strike from above.
Mashiro watches from hiding with Ellee, entrusting the baby to her care as Sora had asked.
Cure Sky summons energy with the Sky Takt and performs her finisher attack, destroying the Ranborg in a massive explosion of light.
Kabaton, defeated and enraged, retreats back through a portal to report to his superiors in the Underg Empire.
Cure Sky detransforms back to Sora, exhausted but victorious.
Mashiro approaches Sora holding Ellee and asks if she is a hero.
Sora pauses thoughtfully, shrugs uncertainly, and replies that she does not know.
What is the ending?
Sora defeats the monster as Cure Sky, forcing Kabaton to retreat, and later tells Mashiro she doesn't know if she's a hero.
Sora, battered and limping after her fierce struggle against the Ranborg monster summoned from a tractor by Kabaton, places the baby Princess Elle into Mashiro's hands and tells Mashiro to run with her for safety. Sora then turns back to face the pursuing Kabaton and the rampaging Ranborg alone, buying time as her body collapses from exhaustion but she forces herself to stand again. Her diary falls open in front of Kabaton, who mocks her dreams of heroism written inside it and tears the pages apart. In this desperate moment, with Elle in danger and her own resolve tested to its limit, a light emanates from Elle clutched by Mashiro, revealing a hidden transformation trinket within Sora. Sora activates it, undergoing her first Precure transformation into Cure Sky, her body glowing with blue energy as her outfit shifts to a heroic sky-themed uniform complete with wings and athletic form. As Cure Sky, Sora launches a powerful attack that obliterates the Ranborg monster in a burst of light and energy, scattering its remains across the street. Kabaton, caught off guard and unable to counter, snarls in defeat and retreats through a portal, vowing to remember her name. The battle ends with the area clearing as normalcy returns to Sorashido City. Later, Sora, now back in her civilian clothes, reunites with Mashiro who is holding Elle safely. Mashiro, wide-eyed and grateful, asks Sora directly if she is a hero. Sora pauses, mulls it over thoughtfully with a serious expression, then shrugs her shoulders casually and replies that she doesn't know. Sora's fate at the episode's end is that she has successfully protected Elle and Mashiro, gained her Precure powers as Cure Sky, arrived on Earth from Skyland, and begun questioning her own heroic identity while forming an initial bond with Mashiro. Mashiro's fate is that she has taken responsibility for holding Elle during the fight, witnessed Sora's transformation and victory, and now openly admires her enough to question her heroism, setting up their friendship. Princess Elle's fate is that she remains safe in Mashiro's care after her powers triggered Sora's transformation, no longer in immediate danger from Kabaton but still targeted by the Underg Empire. Kabaton's fate is retreat through a portal after his Ranborg is destroyed, leaving the city but promising future conflict.
