What is the plot?
The episode opens inside the PuzzleVision studio where a glitch disrupts the broadcast. Squidward notices the glitch on his screen and rushes to contain it, but the glitch breaks free and races toward the studio exit. Sandy witnesses the escaping glitch and reacts with shock, believing it to be a haunted entity. SpongeBob grabs a pair of glasses to use as binoculars and spots Plankton, portrayed by Boopkins, attempting to steal a Krabby Patty. SpongeBob charges after Plankton to intervene, but Plankton hurls insults at him, inflicting deep emotional distress on SpongeBob. In his distraught state, SpongeBob collides with Sandy, shattering her protective dome.
As Plankton nears escape with the patty, Mr. Krabs, played by Bob, steps in to block him. Plankton counters by offering Mr. Krabs a substantial bribe, tempting him to stand down.
Later, the crew constructs a massive tower structure to reach a high point. Bob loses his footing and tumbles from the tower. SMG3 and SMG4 begin climbing the completed tower toward the top where Mario waits. At that moment, Mario is inside Cube's house, locked in a tense confrontation with an Apple TV character from Animal Crossing. Mario's phone rings with a call from SMG4, and though fixated on locating Mr. Puzzles, Mario pauses to answer. SMG3 speaks on the line, informing Mario that they have been kidnapped by the same individual responsible for Mr. Puzzles.
The group arrives at Mr. Puzzles' lair and immediately faces him. Meggy charges forward in fury, aiming a powerful punch at Mr. Puzzles for transforming her idol into a monstrous form, but her attack fails to connect or cause harm. Mr. Puzzles discloses that the chaos caused by the crew has elevated his show to a perfect 5-star rating.
They transition back to the real world, where Mr. Puzzles declares his newfound creative control over it. He announces launching a reality show that traps everyone under his command, forcing them to perform and be watched indefinitely.
In a pivotal turn, the crew's own show surges past Mr. Puzzles' in viewer ratings, stripping him of all power. Mr. Puzzles collapses in breakdown and gets absorbed back into his television head, leaving only a blue screen displaying "No Signal."
SMG4, consumed by rage over the destruction of Peach's Castle, seizes Luigi and sprints toward the remnants. He emits a piercing scream while hurling Luigi directly at the screen, which shatters on impact. Mr. Puzzles' head launches into the sky, fully ending his dominion over the crew and the location.
